Shows at The Middlesex are always a cause for celebration, but this one is really something special. It’s JP dream-folk king Chris North‘s last show as a Bostonian before he follows his muse to Brooklyn. Dude’s been busy pretty much constantly the last few years, performing and recording prolifically as a solo artist and as a founding member of legendary bands like The Points North and The Chris North Dream Quartet. Also, he’s just an all-around cool guy. To see him off, his friends are throwing down with an epic installment of their monthly Streight Night performance series. North will take over your heart and your mind with his shimmering, emotive take on folk-rock for the last time in a New York minute; Streight Angular will bust out their manically poppy garage rock, and if all that ain’t enough Whitehaus DJ crew Hot Company will get yr body rockin’ with the sultry/sweet soul jams that are their specialty. It’s a chance to see off one of the local scene’s truest heads with an all-inclusive night to get your body rocked and your mindset right.
